Eun-Hee Kim, Ph.D.,

Iftekhar Hasan, Ph.D.,
University professor and the E. Gerald Corrigan chair in finance, was recently awarded an honorary doctorate in economics and business administration by the University of Vaasa, Finland, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field of finance. Professor Hasan also serves as the academic director of the Ph.D. program, and co-director of the Center for Research in Contemporary Finance at the Gabelli School.

Benjamin M. Cole, Ph.D.,
William J. Loschert Endowed Chair of Technology Entrepreneurship, and professor of strategy and statistics, has been asked to serve as a subject matter advisor to the Operations Subcommittee of the Wyoming Stable Token (WYST) initiative out of the State of Wyoming. Professor Cole’s deep expertise in blockchain, a field in which he has been teaching since 2018, makes him an ideal choice to advise this world-first initiative.

Sertan Kabadayi, Ph.D.,
Joseph Keating S.J. distinguished professor in business, professor of marketing, director of the Professional M.B.A. program, and director of teaching excellence, was for the third consecutive year, listed among the “World’s Top 2%” scientists in Stanford University’s rankings. Professor Kabadayi continues to do impactful work on transformative service research, refugee well-being, and vulnerability related topics.

Dominik Molitor, Ph.D.,
associate professor information, technology, and operations, had his paper titled “Frontiers: The Effect of an Ad Ban on Retailer Sales: Insights from a Natural Experiment,” published in Marketing Science. His study examined the impact of a three-week print advertising ban on grocery retailers in Saarland, Germany. https://bit.ly/47oyLGF

Albert N. Greco, Ed.D.,
professor of marketing, recently published a new book, Scholarly Publishing in the Humanities, 2000-2024: Marketing and Communications Challenges and Opportunities, which focuses on the state of scholarly publishing in the humanities and the factors behind the many changes that have taken place over the last 25 years.

Zhe (Michael) Guo, Ph.D.,
assistant professor of accounting, recently had his paper titled “Complexity of CEO compensation packages,” published in the Journal of Accounting and Economics. The research conducted for the paper developed a measure of compensation complexity and provided empirical evidence that complexity has increased substantially over time. https://bit.ly/4cWBmtl
